My parents were married in 1974. My mom, wearing a simple dress, with a hood, and my dad a suit with bell bottom pants and leather clogs! I am not joking. In 1977, I was born. We have albums full of sepia coloured photos of our home featuring macramé wall hangings and suspended planters my mom made. Our brown floral Laura Ashley wallpaper in the powder room still haunts me to this day. Despite that, I seem to have a very large affection for the seventies and the carefree style it displayed. So when I see glimpses of this trend coming back in style, I cannot help but channel my own seventies-ness. Yeah baby! Here are a few of my staples:

In terms of flared jeans, I like these by 7 for All Mankind and these from J Brand.

Channel your haute hippy with this Marc by Marc Jacobs number. I am crushing over this malachite ring too!

For my techno, a floral iPhone 6 case.

How cure are these birthday girl cards?

BohoGypsy is the queen of all things hippy and this vintage pompom bracelet is no exception.

Although a splurge, I am looking for an excuse (any excuse will do!) to buy these boots for myself.

This burlap carryall is both practical and cute. Plus, when you’re tired of wearing it as a bag, you stitch up the opening and make it into a cool pillow!

Speaking of pillow, I love the colours on this kilim pillow from Buk & Nola here in Montréal.

I am really into all things green these days and these cute planters are great for my growing cacti collection!

Hazel & Hunter’s weaving wall hanging bring me back to my (really) early years!
